<p>Seeking support for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Assam's Tamulpur ahead of third and final phase of polling for the ongoing state assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the BJP party works for everyone without discrimination but some people divide the country for vote bank, which is unfortunately called secularism.</p> <p>Launching fresh attacks on the Congress-led alliance in Assam, PM Modi while addressing a public rally said that the people of Assam have rejected parties attacking the identity of Assam for decades and have decided to vote for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government as they are against violence, for development, peace, unity and stability.</p> <p><strong>ALSO READ | <a href="https://ift.tt/31LucFk Election 2021: Himanta Biswa Sarma Appeals ECI To Revoke 48-Hour Ban Ahead Of Crucial Phase 3 Polling</a></strong></p> <p>"The ‘mahajhooth’ of ‘mahajot’ (grand alliance) has been disclosed. On the basis of my political experience and audience love, I can say that people have decided to form the NDA government in Assam. They can’t bear those who insult Assam’s identity and propagate violence," PM Modi said.</p> <p>He went on to say that the NDA government formulated policies that are non-discriminatory and for all sections of society but some people divide the country for vote bank, which is unfortunately called secularism. "But if we work for everyone, it’s called communal. Games of secularism, communalism have caused great damage to the country," he said.</p> <p>The Prime Minister, who is one of the star campaigners for BJP, asserted that the NDA government will bring peace and development to the state and find solutions for the current problems.</p> <p>He also urged the militants to lay down their arms and join the mainstream to make a peaceful and ‘Aatmanirbhar’ Assam. The first phase of the Assam Assembly Election was held on March 27, followed by second phase on Thursday. The results are expected to be released on May 2.</p>
