Now I am appealing to you, please see..."</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1377550102554763266[/tw]</p> <p>CM Mamata Banerjee visited the Golkulnagar booth today as polling was underway.</p> <p>While the Chief Minister was inside the school, BJP and TMC workers created a ruckus and began stone pelting each other claiming that they were being stopped from exercising their right to vote.</p> <p>When the media approached Mamata Banerjee seeking her response over the situation, she claimed that outsiders are creating violence. Over this, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari took a jibe on CM Mamata and said that "Begum is worried since the time she heard Jai Shree Ram chants".&nbsp;</p> <p>The political battle for Nandigram is an important one since CM Mamata Banerjee faces her former protege Suvendu Adhikari as her challenger. Both have been campaigning extensively to woo voters and secure the seat for their respective parties.</p> <p>Right from West Bengal Election Phase 1, ruling TMC has been raised doubts over the Election Commission especially making an issue over the decision to allow non-locally registered voters to be booth agents.</p> <p>&ldquo;The new system is not acceptable to us. We demand that from the next phase the polling agent must be local of the concerned polling booth. CEO has assured us to look into the matter," Sudip Bandyopadhyay had told media persons after meeting Chief Electoral Officer on Saturday last week.</p> <p>Meanwhile, how will Election Commission respond to fresh allegations by CM Mamata Banerjee - remains to be seen.</p>
