Delhi CM Kejriwal Appeals People 'Not To Queue Up' At Vaccination Centres Tomorrow Amid Vaccine Shortage

<p>Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the people of Delhi not to queue up outside vaccination centres as the national capital is experiencing a shortage of vaccines. Kejriwal said that Delhi will not be commencing the third phase of vaccination to innoculate people of 18-44 yrs of age.</p> <p>Arvind Kejriwal also informed that the capital is likely to receive a huge stock of Covishield vaccine in the next 2 days after which it will begin the drive to vaccine all the adults.&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://ift.tt/3aPwdFF Read|'Refrain Media From Citing Oral Observations': EC To Madras HC On Covid 'Murder Charges' Comment</strong></a></p> <p>Kejriwal said that vaccination for 45+ people will continue as they have already made their registration but Delhi will begin the next phase once they recieve the adequate amount of vaccine.</p> <p>Kejriwal said,"We've not received the vaccines yet, we are in constant touch with the company. We are hopeful that vaccines will reach by tomorrow or the day after. They have assured us. 3 lakh doses of Covishield is coming to us first, tomorrow or the day after."</p> <p>"I request you to not queue up at the centres tomorrow. As soon as the vaccines come, we will make proper announcements. Only then people with appointments can start coming to the centres," the Delhi CM said.</p> <p>CM Kejriwal also said that Delhi aims to vaccinate all the citizens in the coming 3 months if they receive the needed amount of vaccine which is around 66 lakhs.</p> <p>The national capital yet again reported its highest ever fatalities on a single day due to COVID-19. Government data shows 395 Covid patients died in the last 24 hours in Delhi. The city reported 24,235 Covid cases during the same period. The positivity rate or the chances of infection spreading is 33 per cent, and the active cases are at 97,977.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
