<p><strong>West Bengal Elections: </strong>West Bengal Forest Minister Rajib Banerjee resigned from his office as Cabinet Minister, dealing a huge jolt to Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress which is already reeling under a spate of resignations by party leaders. Banerjee, in a letter to the chief minister, said he was tendering his resignation as a cabinet minister, but did not cite any reason.</p> <p>He also said that a copy of the resignation letter has been forwarded to Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar for "necessary action".</p> <p>Rajib Banerjee's resignation letter reads, "It has been a great honour and privilege to serve the people of West Bengal.
