<p>In a highly shocking incident, a couple held for killing their two daughters over a superstition, refused to undergo Coronavirus test claiming that Corona emerged from their body. </p> <p>"I am Shiva. My body gave birth to corona. I have venom in my thought so need to test me for coronavirus. It will end in March without the use of the vaccine. There is no need for a vaccine," the accused 50-year-old Padmaja told a healthcare worker.</p> <p>After multiple requests by the police, the accused woman and her husband agreed to get tested for the novel Covid-19. The test results are awaited.</p> <p>Padmaja, a postgraduate in mathematics who worked at an IIT coaching institute and her husband Dr V Purushotham Naidu, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Vice Principal at the Government Degree College in Madanapalli, have been arrested for allegedly murdering their two daughters Alekhya (25) and Sai Divya (22) with the help of dumbbells at their home at Madanapalle town of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh on the night of January 24.</p> <p>The Madanapalli police and others probing the case in their initial investigation found that the couple were involved in religious practices and may even had connections with cult practicies. The couple had claimed that their daughters would come alive after the sunrise. They said "Kalyuga" will end and "Satyuga" will start from January 25.</p> <p>As per the reports, the doctors have claimed that the accused suffer from psychic delusion with a fixed belief that Kalyuga is going to end. The experts say that Padmaja is suffering from ‘shared delusion’ a psychiatric syndrome in which symptoms of a delusion belief and sometimes hallucination are transmitted from one individual to another.</p>
