Delhi Congress Demands Rahul Gandhi To Be Made Party Chief ‘With Immediate Effect’

<p>With the Congress not yet electing a full time party chief after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls debacle, the party&rsquo;s Delhi unit on Sunday passed a unanimous resolution asking Rahul Gandhi to return to the top post &ldquo;with immediate effect&rdquo;.</p> <p>READ: <strong><a href="https://ift.tt/3oBeEgk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABP-CVoter Pre-budget Snap Poll: From Sitharaman&rsquo;s Performance To Free Covid Vaccine, Here&rsquo;s What The Common Man Expects</a></strong></p> <p>The resolution comes just days after the party&rsquo;s Working Committee meeting decided to put off the election of the party chief to June, citing preoccupation with the campaign for the April-May assembly polls in four states, including West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, and one union territory.</p> <p>Several senior Congress leaders, including P. Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma, asked for immediate organisational polls during the Congress Working Committee meeting.</p> <p>However, other leaders including former union minister A.K.
